And of course, Win-Space works on the keyboard too! So yes, AHK is kind of the middle man, but I don't care as long as it works. Then, in Logitech Options, I mapped the button I wanted on the mouse (MX Master 3) to be the Keystroke of Win-Space. While there are certainly more options you can add in your script, I really only need the Play/Pause - which I mapped to Win-Space via AHK. And thank god, because this gave me a solution to the global media keys issue (not the caps lock notification unfortunately).

I found out shortly after I posted my above comment that I could install AutoHotKey(AHK) on my work laptop. Since that is my primary media player (Apple Music subscription) I'll just have to live with it. The draw back is that the media keys ONLY work for iTunes now.

Now I can control iTunes in Windows 10 using the MX Keys media keys. I then added a shortcut to iTunes Media Keys to my Windows 10 Shell Startup: I assigned specific key combinations in the app and then assigned those key combinations to the media keys in Options:
